About This Attraction
Only accessible at low tide, Bats Cave is situated approximately 1.1km from the MBSA Coastal Education and Visitors Centre and the trail winds its way down the beach through a series of sandstone coves. You will pass the world famous ‘footprints’ excavation site where the oldest human footprints were discovered in 1964. The cave itself offers the opportunity to explore and offers beautiful vistas including a rock pool. Due to the remote location, visitors are advised not to take this walk alone.
Guided tours are available and information on these are available at the MBSA Coastal Education and Visitors Centre.
