About This Attraction
Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz South Africa, the MBSA Coastal Education and Visitor Centre is located in the beautiful Nahoon Point Reserve and marks the site where the world’s oldest archaic human fossil footprints were discovered.
Known locally as ‘Footprints’, the Visitor Centre is built in the shape of a human footprint and the sandstone at this site has been dated back 124 000 years. Visitors can view a cast of these ancient footprints inside the MBSA Coastal Education and Visitor Centre.
