Welsh High School

Welsh High School was one of the first high schools for black people in the East London Border and Ciskei areas.  The school was prominent in teaching Latin and English.  It produced prominent politicians, religious leaders, businesspeople, educationalists and sport administrators to name but a few.

The school was closed in 1971.
